Hi everyone,
I hope you had a pawesome weekend. Did you do any exciting things with your dog this weekend? It’s great to provide your dog with some extra stimulation over the weekend, to make up for possible lack of stimulation he experienced during the week.
Here are some great sports many dogs enjoy. Let us know which sport your dog is into!
Number 5: Dock diving.
Dock diving, or Dock Jumping is a dog sport in which dogs compete in jumping for distance or height from a dock into water. It’s fun, and lots of dogs love it.
Number 4: Disc Dog.
Disc dog is the more generic name for what is commonly called Frisbee dog. In disc dog competitions, dogs and their humans compete in events such as distance catching and somewhat choreographed freestyle catching.
Number 3: Water Retrieval
Do you have a canine that loves to fetch her favorite toy from the water? The sport of water retrieval is the same idea, only with a competitive edge. This is especially fun for new puppies in your home, especially water-loving breeds.
Number 2: Dogs with balls
Dogs love balls. Almost any sport that has a ball in it, well maybe except for throwing iron balls, will get your dog up and running. They even like to catch animated balls, like this clip demonstrates.
And number 1 – Agility.
Dog agility is a dog sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. This is a great sport for both you and your dog, and a great way to work as a team and make your bong even stronger.
I wish you a great, sporty week!

I cannot speak highly enough about dog agility classes. My dog is SO much happier ever since we have been going to the agility classes. It’s particularly useful in the winter time when we cannot go hiking. The dog agility classes allow him to leap and bound, all within the confines of a safe, warm place!
