Hi Humans,
Here at DOGTV, we have a different meaning than most for the expression, the “Dog Days” of summer. For us, this is when our production goes into greyhound speed, as we’re working on thousands of new programs to entertain your pups and pooches. We’ve had so much fun filming all different types of dogs in almost every kind of setting, we want to give you a sneak peek at what you and your dogs can look forward to seeing on DOGTV soon.
Agility All-Stars
Dogs love seeing other dogs on television being active. It keeps them stimulated both mentally and physically. And there’s nothing more active than dogs running through an agility course. The DOGTV crew visited Ace Dog Sports, south of San Francisco, where we witnessed dog agility all-stars in action. After spending a couple hours there, I might go as far as to say these dogs could give the Golden State Warriors a run for being the most well conditioned athletes in the bay area.
If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to exercise with your dog, look for an agility school in your area. Then show off to your friends the new tricks your dog can pull off.
A Full Day in the Studio
We wouldn’t be a TV channel for dogs, if we didn’t film some of our programs in a real TV studio. In a single day, we had over 20 dogs, from dalmatians to golden retriever puppies, come in and out of the studio. They jumped, played, rested, and barked in front of a white screen and a green screen. We’ll keep it a secret as to where these dogs might pop up after we add in the backgrounds and effects. The sky’s the limit….
Doggie Errands
Even dogs have to run errands sometimes. That’s why we spent a day in Noe Valley following a group of dogs who went shopping and to a doctor’s appointment. After a productive day in town, the dogs rewarded themselves by meeting up with thirty of their best friends for a quick bite to eat at local restaurant. I learned that shopping as a dog isn’t so bad because every place we went they got treats. I wouldn’t mind running errands so much, if I got a free cookie for doing it!
Treasure Island Birthday Extravaganza
After all that exercise, studio work, and errands, some of the dogs were ready to let loose and party on the weekend. It was perfect timing because one of our star dogs as having a birthday. Kompis invited twenty of her friends to beautiful Treasure Island in the middle of the San Francisco Bay to celebrate. The DOGTV crew tagged along so we could film the birthday party festivities.
We can’t wait to show you these amazing programs and the many more we’re working on! Comment below if you have ideas for new content you and your dogs would love to see!
